terryd 8,505
Hi I notice on one of my permissions which consists of stubble fresh plough and grass it is being visited by quite a few geese. I all ways associated them with estuaries and I was quite surprised too see them. If I wanted too try and bag one any tips for me ? I am not sure if there is any pattern too there visits or if they prefer the stubble or plough. Not sure if creeping up on them would be an option or maybe get a couple of decoys and hope they fly over. Don't want too spend much dosh encase they go too never be seen again
remi700 99
Geese on stubbles and grass is very common. Keep an eye on them, they're more then likely coming in the early morning depending on species (grey geese usually feed earliest canadas latter) if there canadas there probably heading to feed at 8 to 10 in the morning. Taken note of where abouts on the field they are feeding get a few decoys and wait for them to arrive in the morning. With a bit of luck they might be coming in small bunches and you will get plenty of shooting. atb Mark
