long day but worth it

i was invited to shoot some rats that had been spotted around the feeders on a bit of land thats a fair drive away so i set off and after abit of a drive arrived at the keepers house and after a bit talking he gave me a free reign to mooch about and shoot any vermin that comes my way! so off i go with a big smile on my face [kept hidden of course lol] and at the 1st set of feeders i only came across birds feeding so offi go again and after anhour or so i hadnt fired a shot! so back to jeep for some food and as i sat there looking at the scenery i threw a bit of sarnie out the window and it wasnt long before afew jackdaws came to investigate so i finished my lunch and moved behind some bales of straw and it didnt take long for the jackdaws to reappear and one came down taking the bread with it but made the mistake of dropping it and as it landed to pick it up i shot it stone dead sending the others off in a hurry [sqwauking as they made good their escape] a tractor drove into the gateway and the farmer asked what i was up to but after afew seconds of explaining he pointed me in the direction of his farm and asked me to clear afew ferals for him .i thanked him and drove to his farm to see a fair number of ferals feeding outside the grain shed so i picked myself a nice spot to ambush them and as quick as one fell another turned up so after anhour or so i had 20 pigeons and the farmer turned up and wasover the moon with my efforts and made me a cuppa! thats a1st for me lads [farmers just dont do that] i walked into a small wood that had a feeder in it and a squirrel scuttled up the tree i sneaked up and spotted it facing me 25 ft up so i took aim and hit it in its front leg-damnit! it managed to climb higher and started chattering like mad so i moved about until i could get another shot and i put the scopes on its napper and squeezed the trigger sending him to the ground stone dead thank fxxk for that i said to myself,i never saw nothing for a while and went to keepers house and helped to dismantle some partridge pens before setting off to the feeders again ,i managed a couple but i found that most were actually feeding on the kale itself which is to dense to shoot through so i decided to call it a day -est time of arrival 11 am left 7.30 pm but thouroghly enjoyed myself after a slow start -billy
