Wino 3
I'm getting fed up with finding a plain green/brown jacket for hunting that's actually waterproof, including having waterproof pockets. Can't spend too much £££ at the moment, what do people use? Quote Link to post
R.A.W 1,987
tried army goretex and real tree stuff. they are ok but i keep ripping them on barb so it's back to the old wax barber this season and it protects me a bit better when sticking my head in a hawthorn hedge. good luck mate. i'd been interested to hear others suggestions too. atb RAW Quote Link to post
Wino 3
Actually same question for trousers too. Use waders on the marsh but not for lying in wet grass. Quote Link to post

Wino 3
I bought a Deerhunter "Shellbrook" jacket recently for £45 which was advertised as waterproof and breathable, one trip out and I was soaked to the skin. Took it back. Quote Link to post
silentrunner2011 218
was it deertek? Quote Link to post
AirgunGuy 362
Have a look in TK MAXX mate. They do loads of outdoor clothing at this time of year. I got a blue Mayer waterproof breathable jacket a couple of years ago for walking. It was 100 + quid reduced to about 40 quid or so. It's been great. I treat it with Nikwax every year and the water just runs off it. It's just a case of having a browse through the racks and getting an olive green coloured jacket. I use Simms for fishing which costs a small fortune and the Simms is no better than the Mayer. They all leak eventually and need proofing Quote Link to post
Wino 3
was it deertek? No, S-Tex (whatever that is). Quote Link to post

Gratz 8
Another vote for the Deerhunter deertek stuff. Had it for years and been out in all weathers, no problems at all Quote Link to post
