as many as you are given permision to purchase on your ticket, the norm is one but you can apply for more if you can prove good reason

Quite true, you could always use the day v night setup argument too.

In fact I did it more to get an extra (different) rifle and mod slot to get a free 1-for-1 later down the line.

In fact can someone answer a quick question? I have a mate who wants to add two slots for rifles, and wants mods too. Is that four or two slots, and therefore four lots of £26 or two??

I know this isn't strictly what the OP asked but on a related note Avon & Somerset want you to have a burglar alarm installed at over (I think) five guns. When I got my FAC I already owned four shotguns and the Glos FEO cleared my Brattonsound 5-gun cab for eight, and a 3-gun takedown in my garage for four.

it all comes under one variation so one lot of £26

I just was talking to Avon and Somerset a couple of weeks ago , and was told i should be ok for extra guns but 8 would be the limit before i need extra security ie alarms

leicestershire ask for differnent levels of security dependant on how many guns are to be stored at the property.

Each gun and each mod is one slot, so four slots. I believe if you add them at the same time it is just one variation and one charge of £26.

  • 2 weeks later...

thanks for response guys so you do need to be passed separate for theys

i have just had vist from FAO

and found him very helpful i had put in for a .22 rim-fire and .223 CF

he advised me to change the .223 to .22Cf then i could buy any i wanted e.g .220 . 222 . 223. .250 were as if i had left it as .223 i would of been restricted to that cal only

but now i can buy any .22 cal can i stlil only buy the one without contacting them and getting another .22 slot i haven't seen a ticket before and haven't got mine yet

so not sure how the slots are set out

i have also put in for a shotgun i am aware this is abit different with this you can have as many shots guns as you want and long as you passed for the bore size
