leeroy 29
I had the same thing with my new Wolf and I had a good look and found that the end of the shroud was being clipped by the pellet. I had a look around and found out that there was a bach of rifles that came out with a baffle in the shroud that was to small , and this put everythinh out of line , I sent it back to Daystate with a letter of the problem I had , and it came back new shroud and now shoots like a dream . I would send it back with a note and get it sorted . When I took the shroud off there is a bush at the front and rear and they had a batch where the hole in the centre was over size , this allowed it to move about and so did point of impact. good luck Edited October 18, 2012 by leeroy Quote Link to post
AirgunGuy 362
Can i ask what your FPS is with your current ft/lb's setting and pellet? Also...is it nessecary to clean the barrel every -100 shots? You're pretty much cleaning the barrel not long after it's been re-leaded and won't help matters Edited October 15, 2012 by AirgunGuy 1 Quote Link to post

You're pretty much cleaning the barrel not long after it's been re-leaded and won't help matters when i clean it i just pull through without anything but a patch. never use detergent. so its leaded up from the first shot. 18.13g jsb 950fps. got that tip from edgun usa. if you shoot over longer range not cleaning makes a massive difference. not so obvious at 30 yards until its really dirty. riflehunter583 58
how do the hogan mods compare to the twink if you've ever used one? thinking about getting one. Quote Link to post
chris k 205
never used a twink so dont know but they are miles quiter then the weirauch silencer. picked mine up from wighill guns. the shop owner sells most brands of silencers for daystate and recomended the hogan over daystates own. safe to say im NOT disapointed. hope it helps Quote Link to post

The thing with the air gun, its long already so moving around is a pain, car window, cattle shed, gate, etc. So in many cases i just put up with a little extra noise, with the daystate reflex mod. The farmers are used to shotguns so some are not to worried. The pull ties are starting to pay for themselves now! Before i put these two little stick of green on most crows flew off. Now with the pull ties on the shroud most of the crows die instantly with a clean kill. Shooting today between 30 – yards. I got 14 this morning but could not find the rest in the undergrowth. its confirming that its the shourd or barrel inside whats been moving on these near usless guns. Quote Link to post
chris k 205
The reason i first got one is becuase when i first got my rifle i took one shot and cleared a feild due to the sound. So my original intention was to get a daystate silencer. so after phoneing daystate and been told they cant post silencers they past me on to wighill guns (cracking shop i might add) the fella there recomended the hogan over the daysate. now i can drop 2 to 3 rabbits next to each other before they have a clue im snipeing them Quote Link to post
AirgunGuy 362
Another recommendation for the Hogan. I have 1 and it's excellent. They can be made even quieter with a wee bit of modification Quote Link to post
