growforest 0
Two year old entire male black and tan Border x Lakeland lost on Thursday 4 October 2012. Not certain if lost or stolen or picked up from roadside, but no longer with us. Dog lost from south of Escrick, six miles south of York, close to A19. Working stock, doing well, strong and muscular. Very bright and friendly. Answers to "Jack". Bought from this forum earlier in the year to replace equally-good bitch (died of old age recently). Will p.m. more pictures to anyone with genuine leads or interest in recovering this dog. Will supply telephone number to anyone with information. Will offer a reward for the safe return of the dog. Many thanks for reading this far. Regards Tom

growforest 0
Nothing as yet Bobajob. The police have been, all the 'keepers locally are aware and I'm postering the place tomorrow to see if we can flush him out. I can only trust that everyone on here gets a good look at his picture and makes sure they tell all their mates not to buy dogs from unknown sources. Anyone with any fresh ideas where these dogs go would be useful. We've a bit of recent trouble with trespass to a woodyard here, so I half think it's payback. Or just an opportunist thief roaming far and wide, seeing what they can get. Police are now involved and I've got good support locally. If he goes further afield, who knows. I've had a few days to think - still strikes me that taking a man's dog is the lowest act possible. I'm a great believer in karma though. And they will get their punishment in the end.
