Carraghs Gem 1,675 Posted October 6, 2012 Report Share Posted October 6, 2012 If its luxating patella it can be passed on to pups to a lesser or even more severe degree especially if the prospective sire has it or carrys a recessive gene for it if you were considering breeding the bitch in the future I would suggest you research this first as the research I did when I discovered my bitch had it advised against breeding any dog with this fault. I have her on the tread mill as this keeps the leg on the ground and helps retain the muscle and keep it strong. so far so good..... I have also given hydrotherapy to her..... trouble is it can be expensive unless you know someone with the equipment. Quote Link to post
