bell 3,590
With all the water that came down last week the brooks and dykes were sure to overflow. Once every couple of years it happens just right and we have either a flooded stubble or even better flooded late standing crops........a veritable duck 'take away' The water here stays for around 3 weeks and you have to make the most of it while its still there. Two sacks of barley have gone in and the ducks have found it. Theres always a few geese around when the standing water is about and i came accross this little lot this morning as i went to feed the flood next door So we shoot it next week, we may get a few more outings off it unless the rain gods have been listening Regards Bell
