Went out last night with my red first time on beam took it like a duck 2 water amazing can't wait til tom night to get out again it was ace

Redtail 1 how do u fair find he response alot more heavier at night to the day

Yea can hunt heavier because there are no distractions. I make jesses from hi viz strips. Can see it from miles away. Can re call her by just putting lamp over the glove. They take a few goes before they find their footing. Most of my hunting is by lamp.

To be honest that's what I want to do to be fair . What the difference in your birds weight from the day to night .?

Top condition (Fit) 2lb 10oz day and 3lb to 3lb 10oz night.

I tried my male harris last season on the lamp and he just didnt get it ! i was gutted because there was a few squaters about and he just kept looking around and not at the point of impact on the beam ! only twice i took him i gave up after the second time,maybe il give it another bash soon you never know,at least i can go out on my own then insted of relying on lads to tag along to do a bit of ferreting..

You just have to give them chance. Slightly lower its weight, slip on some close runners.

Do u take bell off for night time ? He doing really well spots far away 2 be fair . I do notice when he connects with the tab it's seems to be not getting them were he normally gets them suppose it's cause of the light but he will get used to it .

How ya find the response with the weight increase at night does ya bird still come back as fast ?

I used to take the bell off but found it does not make much difference. Still a good re-call because there is nothing to distract her. Yes it is the light that make judging distance and getting the footing right hard

It's better in the night ya see more rabbits and you still get to see the flight 2 . How many flight ya average with ya bird ?

walk the squatter get as close as you can as soon as it runs instinct should kick in and the chase is on
