rob190364 2,594
Muscle tone & behaviour alone would have been enough to make a positive id in this situation...Try removing a wild poley from a drop box and compared to removing a ferret the results are.., well, emotional. pmatty77 26
http://www.bbc.co.uk/nature/life/European_Polecat#p007xt1g Filming polecats in uk,seem quite different to a polecat ferret,am certainly no expert but they do seem on initial viewing darker than the ferret Quote Link to post
FENN 24
I had a real polecat in one of my cage traps set by my chicken pens last year . belive me you will know when you have a proper polecat by the way it reacts .i have had ferrets all my life and instantly new that this was the real deal . I thought that they were quite rare but after contacting a few people i learned that where i live in south wales there is a good population of them . So i think by looking at he pick that this is a ferret mostly due to the size and the coat dosnt seem to be quite as dark as the one i had the mask is not as light . Anyhow why would some one say its a ferret if it was a polecat? Quote Link to post
