got a pup coming next week and bought some puppy and sapling gain heard its very good. feed little and often with a mix of fatty beef and should start putting a bit on. dont over walk it because it will just burn it off. but some saluki types can be nightmare and be very picky with food. good luck with your pup pal

My pup is very picky, i've tried loads of ways to put weight on her and i even reduced her walking to once a week but she still doesnt pit weight on, but recently i have changed her food to this skinners field and trial and i see her putting weight on her neck, and after this i have a bag of that euknuba sat in the cupboard waiting haha

There are some Salukis that simply DON'T put weight on ! It's just the way the breed is. In thier native enviroment they don't get the feed that we give them here. The bedu will feed pups on camel/goat milk and dates, as that is usualy all that's available. I remember a vet in Saudi telling me he'd be worried if he saw a FAT Saluki ! LOL ! As long as the pup is well fed and wormed regularly, and shows no signs of illness, it should be OK !

Cheers.
