Guest vin
Done it once while lamping with my dog..she had not long come out of season and was almost fit...but I just pushed her to far and ended up at the Emergency vets and dog on a drip..It was close that she didnt make it...I know the signs with her now and always keep a close eye on her as she will willingly do it again if i am daft enough to let her. . .its all about knowing your dogs limitations..because the dog sometimes just doesnt have a stop valve...lol Edited October 4, 2012 by vin Quote Link to post
Bosun11 537
Seen a few go over, either the wrong dog on the wrong quarry or they just ain't fit enough. Nine times out of ten its, inexpierience with owners that gets a dog in a bad way. Quote Link to post

moonlighter 1,164
I ran my old saluki dog too much one day when he was younger. Ran one too many hares. I had to carry him to the car and then he started twitching really bad. I got him home and gave him electrolytes and his meal and he came round. Live and learn. Quote Link to post
