Ray Mears 272
straight to the battery i.e no fuses?
WILF 47,224
Exactly mate.....a decent wrap of tape as a buffer where the wire joins the lamp housing body ( in the hole itself) and bobs your uncle.
Ray Mears 272
thats what i have always done cant be doing with the fuse case melting all the time
miss the fox 10
put a fuse holder and fuse out of car on, they wont melt if shorting occurs which can save battery or lamp getting damaged, ive also had bulbs blow in past when i had no fuse because of a short occurring. so a fuse is alot cheaper to replace. BIGLURKS 874
I think I read the same thing u did about the lithium batteries blowing up cant say it's happend too me I have both types and I won't be changing myne even if it does blow up the weight dif is massive too the old clue light types if ur out for 5 hours on foot it makes a difference The lamp I use is the lightforce striker found the blitz too much lamp but u pay for what u get at the end of the day if ur just out every now and then the clue light and 8a battery pack is a good buy

Ray Mears 272
i dont fancy forking out a small fortune on something that might go bang and burn my house down the weight diff is obvious but in tearms of lamping time do you get more out of the lithium ? JohnGalway 1,043
I've ordered a Fandyfire stl-v6 off dealextreme, from a recommendation off the candlepowerforums. Supposed to light up a few hundred yards, but I haven't got it yet. I'll use that as my spotter and I've another yoke coming to stick on the gun. I am trying to get away from conventional lamps and battery packs.
Millet 4,497
You get a lot more out of a lithium i have had them for around 4yr's now and i have had no bother and i have only ever heard of one going bang and that was on here the other day..Deben must sell thousand's of them and if they where dangerous i am sure we would of heard of a lot more going bang..The 22Ah is protected against over charge and i'm sure the 14Ah is..but aslong as you unplug after charging is complete you will have nothing to worry about..
