just got the ambush coat anyone else use there gear ad it on once last week it was a showery sort of a day mild when i got back to the car i was coverd in sweat i opend the two side vents whats your thoughts

They do make you sweat a bit! Don't wear a cotton shirt next to your skin. try using a wicking layer to get the sweat away from your body. The vents do help though. Mine stinks after nearly 2 years of wear, so make sure you wash it regularly.

 

Its never leakedand is great in very cold weather. But my god does it absorb a lot of water. Don't think Id buy another unless i was doing more static activities

all rivers west gear is poor at wicking sorry but I have tested it in all conditions and it will not alow you to breathe and you do get what you pay for I gave mine away as it would have been against my principals to sell it on !

Nomad is a better waterproof and made garment. But I still find mine a sweat box if I'm putting a shift in. They also hold water on the outside and when drenched they take ages to dry
