fireman 10,930
They've probebly just charged him so they can hold him in custody longer,if they mess up and in time have to release him then no one will mind to much as it's been done for the good of public outcry.I had a mate who was murdered by some one out on bail for murder and his body has never been found, the scroat got min 35 years but still won't say where the body is and the lads family will never be at peace until he's found,my heart goes out to those that have unfound lost ones for sure.
Malt 379
All this live 24 hour news goes way to far sometimes. Yes they can help tremendously but it should be done in a very careful way in cases like this.. Someone should get sacked for this..
Malt 379
Just watched the clip, who the hell does she think she is breaking news like that to people involved in the search? People who break that sort of thing should be trained to do it and do with descretion and in a sensitive way, and not some news presenter with a jumped up sense of self importance.. And doing it on live TV??

gnasher16 30,216
Dont seem right to me all this coverage......its one thing keeping us all up to date but some of this reporting is a little bit too close to the bone for my liking..................i was watching them interview the son of this Bridger yesterday he,s obviously not the brightest of kids the questions they was asking him were just ridiculous he looked like he was having quite a good time it just makes a mockery of a very serious matter..............if something happens let us know,if not f**k off and let people do their jobs. All this silly pink ribbon business is daft as well why has everything got to be turned into some kind of " lets make a statement " thing.... bollocks to all that this is either going to have a great outcome or a terrible one a pink ribbons not going to ease any pain !
Born Hunter 17,780
I think the April's mother asked people to wear the pink ribbons to show their support for the searchers etc. If that's what helps her deal with this then I see no harm.

With so much coverage, its only a matter of time before someone like Burley was going to mess up.
tegater 789
I've just seen the Kay Burley clip and personally I dont think it was that bad. The news was already common knowledge on the public domain and quite clearly most people that were there knew about it, and it was unfortunate, that Kay said to them "so you have heard the news". After that she quite clearly had to tell them, and I thought she did a reasonable job

scothunter 12,609
It's sad to say, but with the publics total craving for real tv, reality call it what you like, but even the coverage of disasters and murders seem to be covered like a reality show.
