Malt 379
Totally normal at this time of year, sometimes happens when they start growing their winter coat. It's known as rat tail by some and is nothing to do with the ticks, and shouldn't affect your ferrets temperament in the slightest.. Quote Link to post

R.A.W 1,987
have you given your jill a check over for fleas mate. i'd give her some spot on just to be sure. it could be nothing but for the sake of a few pounds it's better to be safe than sorry. you don't want her to suffer . if she's just molting out you'll have no problems. goodluck .RAW Quote Link to post
The one 8,524
With the early dark nights her hormones will soon settle down and her hair will grow back in again Quote Link to post
Cappsytheferreter 1
Was the same with my hob couple of weeks ago but his tail hairs grown back now thicker than ever. Quote Link to post
NEWKID 27,691
One of mine lost a lot of hair this year both the lads I regularly ferret with had jills that lost hair too, more than normal, mines all back now, in fact her coat looks great. Should be nothing to worry about mate other than crazy woman hormones lol 1 Quote Link to post
