WILF 47,060
example: If someone was to write "Seen a nice fox in the beam, got down low with some cover at my back and started to sqeake.....critter was nervous at first but then started to come confidently down the beam. when it got to 30 yds it was dispatched as part of a 3 fox haul that night and here are the pictures of the bag" you post that in a "Lurcher section" and every f****r knows that the person that wrote it has been a bad boy........however, post that in a "general" section amongst a load of other shooting topics then its not apparent from the start what the dispatch method was and who has got the time to investigate every person in every post? it would give more room to those who have got something to post and who may feel inclined to do so........or it stays as it is and we all stop complaining Forcing shooters and dogmen to get on with each other in the same section would need more than a dozen mods! I think lots of lads have experience of most forms of hunting or fishing, most lads I know work dogs, shoot, fish and trap....many of them work terriers or are out with hounds regular.......most folk have something in common they can join in with. stewie 3,387
its a shame but the good articles etc are few and far between but when the good ones come it means more as its refreshing to read a well thought account of a days/nights hunting. maybe the general talk being so busy with people who get to "know" each other online and know what to have the crack with a few members over doesnt help the other sections sometimes?? the good stuff will always shine through.................. lurcher330 2,297
I was posting a good few hunting topics on here last season ,but got a pain in my bollox defending my actions to so called liked minded people,I am in Ireland and can lamp foxes with my dogs completely with in the law ,but still got pics reported and fcukers complaining ,if i was in the US or mainland Europe i could be posting anything from coyotes ,badger or wild boar without complained, some will argue that i could be in the UK but just using a tri colour to get away with certain posts ,but the mods can tell from the ip address which country we are in so posts should be flagged like the show section to prove where we are or have and lurcher and terrier work section that is free from the uk ban

Jmho like I agree with you Wilf. I do a bit of everything, lurchers, terriers, keepering, beating, ferreting, hunting etc etc, there's bits I'm not keen on but I hope I'm reasonably accepting of others chosen persuits. But...... there not many days go by without the coursing lot clashing with shooters, terriermen clashing with shooters, keepers bitching about dogmen, stalkers moaning about the evils of deer coursing. I think everyone should be able to get on but there's too many passionately against other countrymen.

I'm the same, and what you say pretty much sums up how I see it, except in many cases I might just alter the 'passionately' to 'ignorantly'.
