Guest cookiemonsterandmerlin
I like to stroke many things like pussy Well like folk say the weather conditions say there's overgrown hedges we not all blessed with open chalk downland burrows or on the dales. The stubbles are so torn up with ruts so big there break your dogs legs on the lamp. So much goes on behind the internet and you should be the last member to question folks hunting. If some posted all there hunting trips you get pms either inviting themselves or saying your talking shit. Just because folk are not doing endless threads on days out does not mean there not out. Not ever member is addicted to THL and getting postive and likes to there pictures . Happy days Cookie

WILF 47,344
Someones angling for a MODs job  ....... As I have said before, there is nothing else to post except rabbit, hound or shooting topics. Unless the rabbiting with lurcher topics are exceptional like the numbers TOMO etc are taking or like MOLLs post used to be with lots of pictures then I am afraid all there would be is "heres 2/5/10 rabbits".........nice to see how young dogs are getting on etc but after that its boring as f**k. I dont agree that its horse shit that folk say they cant post either, imho all this keep sailing close to the wind with "in accordance with the law" type posts is asking for a visit.........why bang a drum?......keep your head down and crack on. face facts, they have everyone by the bollocks where dogs are concerned.
Carraghs Gem 1,675
thats very true thats why i like jigsaws posts, especially the hunting goats but for most of us its boreing rabbits, I dunno about that, rabbits are scarce in my area, double digits are only usually acheivable if you have a rifle round these parts so reading topics where they catch 40 for example always catches my attention and I am most envious of this. WILF 47,344
no one wants to read my shit. My dogs aren't world beaters, I can't do 'the ton' and I blank a hell of a lot, none of that makes for very interesting reading. same as that
kenny14 656
its exciting to do and watch but not very intresting to read about I actually enjoy reading about rabbiting. Reading about different peoples experiences and methods, along with success and failure is something I can often relate to. But I suppose we're all different.
WILF 47,344
I have said before too that having sections like "lurchers" or "terriers" or "shooting" makes it very obvious from the get go what method has been used to dispatch quarry......a general hunting section would give people more elbow room to post (and i dont mean bull crosses with their faces knocked about pictures) anyone who is operating on the fringes of the law condems themself from the start by what section they post things in.......dont see why it has to be so obvious.......... one section for all hunting would be much more interesting to me. I think I know what you're saying wilf, but not sure about the 'elbow room' 'cos if it's illegal it's still going to be illegal no matter what the section title. WILF 47,344
example: If someone was to write "Seen a nice fox in the beam, got down low with some cover at my back and started to sqeake.....critter was nervous at first but then started to come confidently down the beam. when it got to 30 yds it was dispatched as part of a 3 fox haul that night and here are the pictures of the bag" you post that in a "Lurcher section" and every f****r knows that the person that wrote it has been a bad boy........however, post that in a "general" section amongst a load of other shooting topics then its not apparent from the start what the dispatch method was and who has got the time to investigate every person in every post? it would give more room to those who have got something to post and who may feel inclined to do so........or it stays as it is and we all stop complaining
Born Hunter 17,783
Some people have a bit of a talent for writing and can make a mornings ferreting or a few hour lamping rabbits really good to read. But the likes of me just can't make a brace of rabbits from a 2 hour midnight stomp sound anything more than what it is.
