johnny boy68 11,726 Posted October 1, 2012 Report Share Posted October 1, 2012 People hardly post about hunting these days because they don't get much responce, for example Ideation(Jai) put a thread up of one of our days in the lurchers at work section and he got 18 replies, fully understandable if it was a craply written thread with no pics but Jai's write ups are top notch, yet on the same section there was a thread about slip leads that went for 9/10 pages. Its when lads put a bit of effort into writing a thread and it gets ignored basically, thats what puts people off imo. And as for that soppy southamhunter with his 1000 posts in 3 months and half a dozen different accounts !!!!!........stone me the day i worry about what a silly little wannabe captain caveman kid thinks of me will be the day i stop coming on here full stop ! morton 5,368 Posted October 1, 2012 Report Share Posted October 1, 2012 I think Leveller is making a valid point,a lot visit this site,some to learn,some to gather evidence,some to massage their ego and some to sit for a while with some like minded souls,the genuine lads soon shine through the dross,chavs and frauds,you will never eradicate the less desirable and trustworthy members,just try to ignore and avoid them.The members that have been gifted with a certain amount of intellect should be able to cobble together a tale or two of dareing do and hunting exploits,with a certain amount of poetic licence and camouflage.Its easier to stand in the shadows,do your own thing,complain about the lack of substance in the majority of posts and still visit,regardless.If hunting as some of the more fortunate of us,once knew it,is to make a comeback we need to do a little more to defend that right,the odd post here and there,badly written,full of inuendos and half truths,even Whippets and Bull crosses being useful jukels,will do more to further our cause,The Right To Hunt,than doing nowt,because doing nowt got us where we are at now. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
