kenny14 656
example: If someone was to write "Seen a nice fox in the beam, got down low with some cover at my back and started to sqeake.....critter was nervous at first but then started to come confidently down the beam. when it got to 30 yds it was dispatched as part of a 3 fox haul that night and here are the pictures of the bag" you post that in a "Lurcher section" and every f****r knows that the person that wrote it has been a bad boy........however, post that in a "general" section amongst a load of other shooting topics then its not apparent from the start what the dispatch method was and who has got the time to investigate every person in every post? it would give more room to those who have got something to post and who may feel inclined to do so........or it stays as it is and we all stop complaining Far too sensible wilf! And then there'd be those of us who shoot and work Dogs!

Guest Leveller
I'm not for one minute suggesting anybody should post anything remotely illegal neither would I condone such behaviour, all I intended to do was motivate a bit of enthusiasm for the site. If nobody shared anything it really would be a dire place to visit. If you chose to just lurk around on here that's your choice, if you think your lamping outings are part of the secret service act that's fine too. What is a shame is all through the silly season the site is buzzing with stuff about roll on September, look at what I'm entering this season, what boots shall I buy and then when it comes to the crunch it all fades away. I'm not ordering anybody to post I just genuinely feel that this site only thrives on the input from the members it really is that simple nothing more. I appologise if some of you do find my topics boring but they will continue because I feel that is the idea of an internet forum I even posted about a blank day once but that's the last and only time I'm ever posting one of WILF's topics under my name

matt32 44
this forum has been f****d for a long time youre right leveller it is great to read about what people are taking with there dogs, but all you can post about now safely is rabbits and rats you can say other game is shot and retrieved but you cant tell the whole story without putting youreself or your dogs at risk of being seized.I think its impossible to have a proper forum on serious lurcher work since the ban
gnasher16 30,137
I,ll never understand these sort of topics.......why would a person walk into a pub, look for the most boring bunch of b*****ds in there and start telling them to talk about something more exciting ......you just swerve them, simple. Im the first to admit as regards hunting im the little dry lunch over in the corner listening to tales and stories of others because i dont have much experiences of my own to tell.......but if conversation gets round to juggling with 4 balls i really come into my own .................... For someone like me hunting is a pleasant day out tagging along with a few folk who know far more than me....but its a good way of learning about a subject of interest,as is this website.......my sorry tales would bore folk to sleep and experience has always taught me you learn with your eyes and ears not your mouth ! So sorry for not being " hunter " enough ( beating my chest ) !!...................In my opinion too many folk see hunting as something competetive,if you see it like that you have the whole wrong outlook in my opinion.....efficient yes, competetive no.
