Guest Leveller
Today is October the 1st so for me that means I'm about 6 weeks into this hunting season (pest control is all year round) and so where are all the topics? All the running dogs should be fit or on the way and doing a bit, the terriers the same, all the posts throughout the summer "this is my pup to enter this year" "just got some ferret kits" "roll on September" anybody who's ever stated "I'm out all the time" "I do loads with my dogs" "Just got some new permission" now's your chance to shine to prove it and put your money where your mouth is. I'm afraid I don't buy it when members post things like "I can't share what I do because of the ban" that's horse shit! unfortunately the ban has effected a very small number of individuals that's a fact. However it's such a badly drawn up law it's riddled with exemptions and loopholes and providing you can prove you've fulfilled those you haven't done anything illegal and can carry on working your dogs perfectly within the law. It's very easy to moan about the site and some of the muppets on here (I'm even guilty of doing so) but I honestly believe if more actual experiences are shared on here then we can soon sort the wheat from the chaff, the thearists and the armchair hunters will be pushed out and the site will grow into what I believe Ianb set out to achieve but it does needs input. It's got nothing to do with stroking egos either it's to do with being amongst like minded folk and if everyone who's ever posted about a day out decided that they weren't going to anymore this place would be full of "what are you having for breakfast?" type of posts. Now I do see the irony in my bitching and moaning and typing this in the general section so I don't need that pointed out but it's the hunting season now so really this section should be pretty quiet and the hunting sections should be red hot and getting hotter by the day. So instead of "3/4collieX1/4grey" let's see um posts how about a bit of "Working dog posts" Leeeeeeeeeeeetttssssssssss seeeee ummmmmmmm Ya bunch of fannyboys

paulus 26
maybe alot of lads seasons are late starting due to the weathers effect on the crops and silage being cut, theres still fields of barley and acres and acres of grass here awaiting combining and cutting due to the sodden ground. plus this week is full moon and wont get any better untill the middle of last week add clear skies and no wind to that and all you will be doing is educating everything in the area. scothunter 12,609
If I want to share a hunting expierence on here I will, what i won't do is be dictated by someone. Oh and you don't buy into the legality of it , that's horse shit? Really? Well to be frank I really couldn't care what you think is horse shit. Speaking of shit btw , watch you don't get any on your nose.
Guest Leveller
ok just tell me how smart it is to put pics of a dog with what is now illigalquarry for a dog to take ,,then say oh its only 9 months old its doing well on long ears Not very smart, in fact to me that sounds damn right idiotic. Running Hares with a nine month old pup is bad enough let alone plastering it all over the web you'd have to be pretty thick to do that.

Very true, still very warm for hard work, fields full of stock, many years ago the older countrymen never got serious till after the first frost, nowadays seems it all about a calender date and not a feel for what the countryside is telling us
weasle 1,119
So your saying unless your writing about it on here your not doing it... I have put one or two up for no other reason than i thought i owed it to the site,It takes along time though, and when you come back on to find its been largley ignored you just think why bother. There are other lads on here that if they put a picture up of there dog having a s**t in tha woods you would have 3 pages of what a wonderful s**t it is.
