Im looking to have a split group of 1/2 layers and 1/2 table so ideally looking for a breed that will bring a tidy weight
Tuzo 251
Different people will give different answers but the commercials will probably be best.......also depends on how you are rearing them ?

doga 50
id go along with that indian game cross with something like light Sussex, the sussex are a dual purpose bird anyway good layers and you can cross in your indian game bird to produce meat birds.

Lampalurcher 47
Sussex are a good laying bird but can take some feeding up before are worth eating I'd buy some off them big French white ones they use in the factory farms if you have them on decent grub an scraps taste just as good as anything else just quicker grow an bigger bird
brassneck 128
ive raised indian game and ross cobs in the past , found the indian game more tasty but slow growing . The ross cobbs were eating machines and virtually sleep with their head in the feed trough , i was getting them to 2.5kg dead weight in 12 to 14 weeks , fed them turkey growers pellets and plenty of veg etc and finished them on corn ,very juicy when slow cooked, although they were faster to grow it seemed very un natural seeing them pile the weight on , stumbling about and generally lazy as feck , i think id go for a slow growing old breed if i do any more , such as some that have been mentioned , light sussex , jersey giant, indian game and get a bit more enjoyment by letting them live a more natural , heathly life as im sure this reflects in the flavour atb
Tom n Sky 16
La Bresse Gauloise is what id go for. The are considered the best tasting and best textured chicken there is with the added bonus of up to 250 eggs per year. They are the ultimate dual purpose breed. I had some until a rat got in the garage and killed them all when they were chicks. I will be starting again in the spring.
