how old's the mam jasper? she's stunning, pure finnish?

She's 10 Chubs! its Chris Soans old german bird "Mo", there's plenty of stuff written about her in some of the old BFC mags but she was retired due to a toe injury! I tried her here last year to see if I could get her to stand and like a gem she did and produced 6 eggs, she was bang on form again this year and stood like a good un....

Not a good year though due to trouble collecting semen from the males, 34 Gos eggs with not much to account for :icon_eek:, the females was spot on and did the job but boy was it frustrateing when I had hardly any semen to Inseminate them, for some reason both Pairs was misfireing too so all in all I'm pissed off big time.

On the Plus side I kept back a cracking female Peregrine off my standing female and its definitley a specimen, she weighed 1lb 3 at 15 days, 2lb 1 at 25 days and 2lb 4 at 29 days!! I have been offered £1200 for her but she's not for sale ;), this is the female at 18 days with my Daughter daniella......

Many thanks Millet :icon_redface:.

The breeding season or should I say lack off was bad enough and then as you know a personal loss has just about pushed me over the edge, I'll come back to the real world some time soon but for now I have had more kickings than I can cope with and am in shut down mode....

Speak soon mate

sorry to here you've had it tough, they never tell you lifes going to be like that when your a kid eh! My dad told me the year before last when i was very depressed & had lost just about everything, home family etc that 'this is life, it will get good again, then shit again, then good again...' he was right.

Sod all that though! what a goss & what a pere! Are you dual imprinting then jasper? WHEN and i mean WHEN! I get a goss i'd like a dual imprint.

Love the pere, the bird in my other thread is a ray turner bred gyr/saker - pere, he's a little tiercel all being well this will be the first season on game for him.

Ray Turner does some nice birds mate! the Grandmother to this Peregrine chick was a old Ray turner bird which sadly died this year at 12, the grandfather is a Mark Robb bird I broiugh back in 93, the pair chucked some crackers over the years they was together and I'm hopeing to carry this blood line through some Imprints I have kept back...

Your Father got it right chubs! when we're kids we have no responsibilities and think lifes a bed of roses and we'll live forever, its funny how it all changes as we get older when life starts to crash around us! I'm obviousley supposed to be a big boy about whats happend and put a brave face on things but in private I'm pretty broken up.

I havn't got a very good Memory chubs but I'm sure we've spoken in the past either by mail or phone? I apoligise but my Brain has been shot to peices the last few years ;)..

Cheers
