Fox Quiver gadgets

Recommended Posts

I have to say that I am dubious as to their effectiveness, but there again, I've never bought one to test it.

A lot of them are designed to work with a hideously expensive call system, so they dont make a noise, but there are a few stand alones. (Jack in the box £139.99p) which have their own sound system, but I think thats seriously expensive for a squeaking bit of fur which moves around a bit.

Generally fox shooting is done at dusk and at night, so if it doesn't work in low light conditions, they're bloody useless for foxing.

I'd have to see one in action before I shelled out that amount of dosh.

Maybe the lack of replies to this thread prove that they're not that popular, although I know the electronic callers are.

Reckon theyre a gimmick, but I am open to be proved wrong

I have one of these http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=eD0bmRFtF1g have used it together with caller. Results have been mixed:don't think it has attracted any foxes but it has distracted a couple long enough for me to shoot them.Might have a better market as an "Anne Summers" toy!

:clapper:

Wonder if anyones tried the 'rampant Rabbit' as a Fox lure? :hmm: ........ The fishy smell might help too :whistling:
