Malt 379
ferret has more bottle than your average jack russel and russels dont like pushing into tight places like ferret does i think foxes bolt from russels out of sympathy or they get tired of their high pitch screams every time they think there closer than 6ft from a fox,i expect russel owning enthusiasts are very accustomed to digging to rabbits when out foxing but for a real rabbit bolter i think you may be better off going down the plummer terrir route. Here you go again!!you dont give up do you!!!is that all your good for is diss peoples comments??if your man enough to say these pathetic comments on this site im wandering wether you be man enough to say them face to face to a terrier man that only works russells??if you have nothing tidy to say please do everyone a favour a f@@k off!! are you the onlyrussel fan in the village what you going to do taffy slap me in the fave with a daffodil only giving my honest opinion on russels and generously sharing my experiances with them, you should be greatfull now get back to choir practice or leek growing whatever you do between rabbiting trips. Cant see you lasting long on here with an attitude like that, 'boyo'.. Quote Link to post

8shot 191
now i know there no such breed as a mini jrt just x with chiwawa or whatever but im talkin a 5/6" jrt which i have seen about and using it as an earthdog for rabbits instead of a ferret much easier trainable and much less hassle than a ferret? just a random question really no plans on doin so just wondered if anyone did so or thought it was possible? ferrets hunt its the way they are.. you dont train them .. and what hassle is a ferret back in the hutch after ferreting simples. . . . both questions are bloody daft . kenny14 656
No name calling or derogatory comments, just my honest opinion - Using any sort of Dog regularly to ground for Rabbits will sooner rather than later result in a dead Dog, most likely from suffocation as you frantically try to dig to it after it's excitedly pushed on into a tight spot or roots. Where rabbits are concerned, stick to Dogs above ground, and Ferrets below 2 Quote Link to post
