Amsterdam tourist cannabis ban rejected by mayor   Will try and visit in the spring now.

Amsterdam is ok, but i prefer other places in holland, all the same perks, but a lot less dickhead brits and yanks.

Stop "window shopping" then.... Lol

First time I went to Holland I stayed in Rotterdam, I was working in Utrecht, was when euro96 was on, great fun.

Oh I wouldn't say Rotterdam is better than the dam. Quite the opposite. It's just another city mate. I think they probably meant, you can still get what you are looking for, but not having to pay the over inflated Amsterdam prices. I find the dam a fascinating city, spend a great deal of time there really relaxing chilled out holidays. Yea what I paid for a week there I could have got a fortnight in Spain and change, but I hate that whole Spanish holiday thing.

Cheaper than here lol

Well depends on the coffee shop really, and the weed. I know someone so I don't really pay coffee shop prices. Something to remember though, the Dutch have classified "heavy weed" as a hard drug. Which is any bud over 15% thc content. The coffee shops aren't allowed to sell that. You still get your half quarters for 20 to 25 quid of quality green.

Next year will be the decider of whether you can legally smoke it or not, they were going to come to a decision this year, but what with the fall of Greece and all the shit happening with the euro. One thing for sure, the Dutch will still be able to smoke it, personally I have never found it a major problem smoking a joint. Anywhere lol it's legal as far as I'm concerned.

Agreed it is easy to get but its hard to know what you're getting or the quality, I think the main benefit to it being legalised would be easy access to different strains/variety's etc and hopefully cheaper.

Unfortunately I can't see it being legalised though.
