You'll never have a proper fry up in England mate, al tell ye why, house don't have square sausage.

Is that a childs portion?

It'll be frozen crap mate, you need the proper stuff from a butcher, house have just cost me a 10er now, cos am goin for fry up materials. Sq sausage Sausage Bacon Tottie scone Eggs Beans Black

Whats a tottie scone?

Potato cake, my missus and all her family call em tottie scones that's how I know. Them square sausage are good too but they should make em bread size for a proper butty.

 

Fire one on a bit a mothers pride plain bread!! ;)

Fried tomatoes

Garlic mushrooms

Baked beans with bit of tomato paste added while cooking them to make sause richer

White pudding

Black pudding

Wholegrain toast with real butter

Onion

Fried free range egg from my own hens

(no bacon for me as cant stand the stuff but bacon from the butchers for my fella)

 

 

Dont eat like this anymore as im eating healthy but holy fook what a breakfast!

 

And your suppose to be living in Ireland ,whats happened to the traditional Soda Bread ,Wheaten Bread ,

and Potatoe Bread ,you wouldn,t know a good un .

Never had wheaten bread on a fry ... Probably because soon as I see a wheaten loaf I eat it , who ever invented the stuff new how to make good bread lol

Get an horse mushroom,hollow it out,mix this with streaky bacon,chopped onion,chopped tomato and black pudding,fry this alltogether,pour back into the mushroom case,grate cheese on top,put into the oven on a medium heat for about an hour.Few slices of hot buttered toast and a feast for 4,or two greedy baskets.Proper fat lads breakfast.

Other half doesnt like potato cakes, and I only have soda bread with the fry up when im at the inlaws

Plenty a Tamatoe sauce and a good old buttered roll, there's a fry up.

Add white pudding, mushrooms, toast, hash brown and a fried tomato to that and you're nearly there! :D Got to be topped off with cracked black pepper and HP sauce too... ;)

Nail on head there Mal.. fecking hell I bet everyones slavvering at the mouth over this thread.... I know what direction tomorows breckie is heading in... shame I only have half the shit in the fridge.,

jimmy you hit the nail on the head, in the early 80s my granny would have the grilled pan on from six in the morning making her own soda farrell's and wheaten farrell's and you would have a bit of the wheaten as it was still warm with a load of butter then have your fry

Best Breakfast I had was in The Edinburgh Hilton Hotel, was a Help yourself thing was in there for nealy 3 hrs lol..

How'd you ge in there? Sneak in? Or are you a closet toff?!? :laugh:

 

Remember I sneaked into the Sheridan hotel in Edinburgh, went in through an open window after a night out............ Got in a wee bitty bother for that one!
