stealthy1 3,964
There's an old lime pit on one of my permissions, from the days of old, its mainly used to dump crap to try and fill it in, anything goes into it, there's never many rabbits in it due to it being a good place to hang about in and shoot pigeons, its all rabbit proofed, but, everytime I walk the dog past, there's two rabbits sat outside the fence on the crop side, so they've been winding my dog up for a while, due to the fact that you can be seen walking up the open field, and them doing one underground. So today I thought I'd gather them up before they multiply, dont want a plague do we This is the fence they hop over. And this is what you see on the other side, looks like there's nothing there. Its a bit rough in places for the dog, barbed wire, burried tins and assorted rusty drums, you know the score. But with the nets on, you can see where the gits are living. Dog with her busy head on, marking one exit while keeping her eye on the others Only the one ferret today, she's a five year old jill I rescued and took in, glad I did, because she's a little demon when she's fired up So after a short battle with my jill, the wind up bunnies where gathered, and are on the ferret restaurants menu for dinner tonight, the mesh is crimpped back onto the top wire, so thats that little job done, and the dog walked 5 Quote Link to post

stealthy1 3,964
Well done mate,I'd would have been tempted to put a fence snare on that wire where the rabbits hop over lol MrT where have you been mate, between me, you, and the thousands of other member on THL, I think badgers pulled the fence wire down while the fat gets were hopping over, which lowered it enough for the rabbits to hop over, so I'd need a bigish loop To all the badger huggers looking at this forum from google and facebook, I was only kidding Quote Link to post
