Missing/Stolen - Harris Hawk - Durham

Hello

Sorry to have to sign up to this forum with sad news, but I want to get the word around as much as I can. I have been helping out a few local falconers over the last few years and a few weeks ago bought a harris hawk off a friend who is retiring with ill health. I came back from my honeymoon on Tuesday night to the news that Jim is gone. We suspect stolen but honestly don't know. Myself and this friend have been out every day looking for him in case he simply escaped.

He has (or now had) rings, bells and jesses on and the IBR have him listed on their website. For any local people he went missing around the Lanchester/Langley Park area.

I have offered a reward for any info regarding his return, hoping anyone who has bought him would let me know and they won't be out of pocket or to encourage if stolen to be returned too. He is my only bird and I would like him back and not knowing is the worst part.

Here is a photo of him. He is 2.5years old and a male imprint.

Again, many thanks in advance for any help and so sorry to join this way. I know my account is limited for my first 5 posts here, which is fine but I am not sure how that will affect people contacting me.

Rachel
