As the above says I'm going to be in the field with my two mates Alan W and Alan B, and its all because of these

I took this photo this morning at 0900, and this was only a fraction of what was in the field tucked behind the tree line to the right was about 5 dozen more. At 17.30 tonight i saw a Skien of a couple of dozen dropping into the field, and 30 minutes ago i could hear a large number cackling in the field, good times ahead tomorrow i hope: Dave

If you could think of the worst stroke of luck you could have going shooting, then we had it, Alan W was picking up Alan B to bring him to my house for 06.20 so we could be in the field in time and set up for the Geese first, Pigeons after "Thats why we were going" and i do know the difference lads joking apart. Anyway Alan B had a large lump of metal lobbed through his front window at 0300 that morning so had to cry off but kept Alan W long enough explaining what had happened to make him late getting over to me. It was already getting light when Alan W got to me, We rushed to get set up in the field had just got the hide up when the Geese turned up we hadn't even got the shells in the guns, they saw us as we had not even sat down by this time. They flared immediately turning away back up the field we took a hurried shot as soon as the shells were in but unfortunately missed, they swirled round a bit at the bottom of the field then scarpered, that was that. we then set up the Pigeon decoys and magnets, got back in the hide and sat down as one Pigeon came in Alan W took it as he was up first the bugger LOL. Thought we were going to be in for a good day "not to be" within 10 minutes the Farmer was in the field to plough the stubble my fault i should have checked, we had to pack up with just the one bird, really bad luck for us, it started chucking it down as we left the field, i haven't seen the Geese since on the other Stubble field behind the one we were in, as i have permission on that also. thinking they might start using that but not to be the Pigeons are though but thats for another day. but shooting another permission on Saturday stubble not going to be ploughed till November checked already: Dave
