5cm or 8cm Bars...

Recommended Posts

I'm ordering some galv dog run panels today and can't decide what to go for.

Ideally 5cm as I'm concerned my terrier will get through 8cm or at least get stuck trying. My front gates are 10cm and she flies through them.

However I've been told 5cm can be dangerous for lurchers and bigger dogs who can get there legs stuck? Is this likely?

I could get 5cm for terrier and 8cm for lurcher but ideally I wanted them matching so if I move things about in the future i can mix and match them.

The mesh panels work out nearly twice the price.

Ive got 8cm, young terriers just squeeze through them, had no problems with them with lurchers

Just an idea if you want them to kind of match... Put cheap mesh panels along the inside of the bottom of the pen, only has to be 3ft high to stop them getting out and if you change the set up in future its easy to remove the mesh then

Most adult terriers heads are too big to get through the 8cm bars, there are exceptions though and I had one particular youngster with a narrow head and was a bit of a houdini, the mesh on the bottom stopped her as she had trouble climbing and squeezing through the bars at same time

im going up there wends if its not arrived by tuesday... its not going to be pretty...ive allready paid and keep getting diffrent excuses.. its not just a couple, ive oderd 3 x 2m and 2 x 1.22m gates...so thay best be here by tues or il be in the local papers by thursday :)

I never pay for any goods before I get them unless they are a custom made item

just the way I do business... The tolvi panels themselves are decent enough and the irish distributors are decent lads... Just the main company seems to be run by idiots
