mad al 146
Right, I'll get clobbered for this, but although very popular and loads of folk I know swear by them, I owned one and found it the most over rated rifle I'd ever had . Even tried two others out and couldn't see what all the fuss was about This is just my honest opinion and the reason I replied is that I have had loads of rifles and this is the only one I failed to get on with. That said, if you're happy with your choice, sod what anyone else says Al Edited June 13, 2007 by mad al Quote Link to post
tote 856
I've got one and think it's sh!t hot,had a few guns in the past and have shot some that my mates have owned, and in my opinion the S410K comes out tops But like mad al says what suits one might not suit another. Quote Link to post

That said, if you're happy with your choice, sod what anyone else says Al What problems did you have with it al? I think the s410 is second only to the weihrauch hw100t. It is smooth, accurate and excellent build quality and you get planty of shots out of it. Quote Link to post
Malt 379
My Dad has one, and i've had regular use out of it. Cracking gun, never had any problems with it. I've had crows, pigeon, maggies, rabbits and one fat arsed rat with it! I find it accurate and not to heavy. The air lasts a while as well. What i would say to you though, is that it loses power when just under 3/4 empty. the shots are meant to be metered, so it shouldn't do this. My younger Brother has the single shot s200 and it does the same, so i would refill the air when it is just over 1/2 empty. Quote Link to post
Vermin Dropper 2
Sorry to Hijack your thread woodchip, I've been thinking about the same rifle and wondered what sort of shot capacity you would get per fill? cheers, Quote Link to post
woodchip 2
i was told about 60 full power shots Quote Link to post

I was the problem, expected more from it and still feel there are much better rifles. Myself I think the S200 is a better rifle for half the money, fit a 10 shot conversion on it and away you go al Quote Link to post
Bagpuss 0
I bought one as everyone raves about them, I just could n't get on with it.I think it just didn't fit me well, and even though it was lighter than my BSA Hornet, I found it awkward to carry for long periods. probably me but I've gone back to the Hornet As A plus point the Air Arms Magazine works better than the Hornet one!!!! Hope that helps a bit Quote Link to post
stubby 175
I have the S410 TDR rate it top notch, Id say about 40 to 50 good shots before refilling, but I never let it go totally empty took it with me to bisley on wenesday as my firm(pest control) had put me in for a marksman certificate(permission to shoot on the underground) and terry doe (editor of air gun etc) remarked on what good rifles they were Quote Link to post
GARY 76
Me and 3 mates all have the S410, got to be the best air rifle i have ever used for hunting, i would go for a .177, one of my pals would only use .22 untill he tried mine and then swapped. I get about 50 full power shots from a charge, and i would recomend getting 2 magazines or at least some spare rubber bands for them as they can go quite quickly. Cheers Gary Quote Link to post
targa 5
Both my two hunting buddy's had a pcp, one a AAextra FAC, 1 month and he sold it again. He had a hw95fac first, sold it for the "AA project" but now he's on 95k again. AA extrafac, the most over-rated gun of the season 06-07, he told me Quote Link to post
