BS40liam 203
I'm not scared of her and I can pick her up it just that she will turn and clamp onto my hand or usually when I put the food into the cage she will bite me. I can handle her for roughly 30 seconds then she goes absolutly wild! Lol Quote Link to post

ferretville 69
Would reccomend another ferret to be with your biting ferret . There very social animals and love to interact with each other . Time and patience with them will pay off . Quote Link to post

BS40liam 203
Well I've been handling my gill for a few days now and she's improving massivly! She only nips a little bit now but when she gets a bit frisky a little lemon juice down her gob sorts her out! Glad I dint give up and I'm out 2 morrow with a mate and his 2 gills so will see if she's up to the graft. Cheers for all the advise lads atb 1 Quote Link to post
joe14 98
Lemon juice in her gob!! WTF! They dont need any kind of negative methods or shite pouring down their throat.. I would bite aswell. Just handle her, alot of people mistake ferrets nipping for biting, thats how ferrets play. Clench your fist put some olive oil on your knuckles ( so she cant get grip if she bites) Let her lick the oil when shes bites shout NO. Take your hand away and re offer etc. She will learn that a bite = no tasty treat. She will associate your hands with good things not bad. Shes not gonna change mircales with a few squirts of bloody lemon juice down her throat. You dont know what might of happened to her before, or why she bites. Takes time and patience. joe14 98
I had one like this a few weeks ago all i did was whack it on head bout 10 times and did that every time took it out for 1st few days as you could see she was going to have a go took her ferretin saturday she never bit and hasnt since only took bout 3 days of whacking the bugger, not hard though just hard enough so they no. Have always used that method and always works for me. Sounds like someone should of whacked you on the head abit harder mate when you were born. Your not funny. Quote Link to post
