B.P.R 2,798
Ive got a triple hutch, currently the top 2/3rds houses my 3 hobs and the bottom 1/3rd has my young BEW in. Now this hutch sits in a wooden, high fenced area (a bin store). This keeps it out the elements and protected- or so I thought. The bottom hutch is soaked wet through. It's not leaking anywhere and the kits feet/ belly are wet. This hutch has been fine for the past 2 years, out in all sorts of conditions but with the recent torrential rain and fecking tornados, the hutch must be at an angle where the rain is coming in the bottom. Turning the hutch isn't possible as it's JAMMED in and weight about the same as a mini! Any ideas to cover the bottom hutch. Something breathable preferably that can stay on. ------ I am currently Working away so this is information from my wife, ofcourse if it is leaking then I will be fixed but this is a strong, sturdy hutch so can't see it being damaged. socks 32,253
Place a piece of Perspex over the front ... Still lets the light in but not the rain ......... Quote Link to post
happyferret123 13
When the rain is coming in at an angle I put a large tarpaulin from the top weighted down with bricks and I pull it out at an angle so air and light can come in but rain will not and then put bricks at the bottom. Does the trick with mine. Quote Link to post
tenbob 17
corrugated pvc from a diy store attached to a frame so you can just hook on when the rain comes. Quote Link to post

joe14 98
They sell blue tarpaulins at poundshop. Theyve got eyelet in each corner. screw cup hooks into the hutch to fasten it on. Theyre about 6ft by 4 ft. Edited September 26, 2012 by joe14 Quote Link to post
B.P.R 2,798
Good ideas lads. I've got waterproof sheets which are angled on the front as of now until I get home. I'm looking for a more permanent option? Quote Link to post
