Mine live in the house so when just out walking in the rain, I stick nylon showerproof coats on them in the winter, really just to keep them cleaner/drier when they come back in the house. WILF 47,624 Posted September 27, 2012 Report Share Posted September 27, 2012 A coat is a top idea, if your are travelling back any distance and your dog has had a good do out in cold, wet conditions then a coat is brilliant until you can get them home and dry and some grub in their belly. Most sighthound type dogs are thin skinned so it can only help. Just try running around in the pissing of rain with a biting easterly wind in January then see if you feel cold when you stop? 3 Quote Link to post
