Thanks for the replys fellas, I know it sounds a daft question but the river I fish (Eden) is 3 or 4 foot higher than normal, and I haven't had much luck this year.

As far as I know they don't really feed in fresh water anyway.

 

I'd say that the visibility in flooding rivers isn't very good so that's why you'd struggle to catch.

they will still go for ya lures when there is a bit of colour in water mate
