Only seen one, 33" and turned like a bus but bred some handy pups mated to a collie/grey x lurcher

just my opinion guys but aren't both renowned for much the same things like tough feet and temperament, stamina etc and i thought the purpose of crossing was to bring something new to the mix i'm not saying they would be good or bad i just don't see the point

dh a verry brainy brainiest out of the sighthound familly so i am led to beleav romanny could tell you more but they are quite brainy they are a thinking dog that is for sure

I see a bitch run, which was saluki x deerhound. She wasn't as good as the coursing dogs that was out that day, but that was just one bitch so I couldn't comment on the breed in general.

i can see the point of a saluki / greyhound or a deerhound / greyhound with both bringing in similar traits stamina, good feet, etc i can see the point of a saluki / collie i saw a cracking deerhound / collie years ago, ive even saw a beddy / saluki but for my money mixing the 2 doesn't add up

I have a saluki greyhound x deerhound greyhound pup. Both parents are great working dogs so thought I would try the mix of both and see how it pans out. Great pup and smart little dog with great speed and agility

I've seen pure salukis and pure deerhounds course and you can't even compare them for those saying there similar a saluki turns sharper and from what I've seen they work there quarry harder deerhounds follow an don't course just put a burst on in the straights an don't be fooled by their heavy build they can shift some but they don't seem to have the drive maybe they would on there original quarry but there not as good as salukis by a long way
