Cracking dog lapin, just my type of dog. I like a splash of deerhound. This cross was very popular many moons ago, everyone seemed to have one. If they didn't throw too big (+25) I would have one now, if I could find something decent.

one i had from a pup about 7 years ago.... big strong dog but found a catch in a small field difficult!! foxes didnt stand a chance!! i bred him to a greyhound bitch and the result was what i was after!!!

thanks mate, mine is only 1/8th dh but there is a risk that if their frame takes too much after the dh you could end up with a fairly cumbersome dog. I have another thats only 1/4 dh and tall 28" with it but not too heavy set just looks like a slightly stronger track dog

Was going to say the same used to see a lot of them, all the ones I ever seen were decent on everything, I owned one with a dash of whippet in him was a real good animal he stood just shy of 25.
