Battery's for mk3

Recommended Posts

I dont know whether this is cheap or not, but I just bought some from "wizard batteries" of ebay. 4 x Rayovac silver oxide £3.79 including p & p.

The ones for the receiver you can pick up well known brands cheap anywhere.

Hope this helps.

They need to be the silver oxide ones, as these have a steadier discharge cycle (other batteries will give high initial output and then reduce, which means they won't power a transmitter).

There's not much point chucking a ferret down under with a £65 collar round it's neck, only for the batteries to fail and you can't get it back if it falls off or the ferret lays up.

A set of proper batteries will last 300 hours.

What he is asking is where do you get them from cheap. I have given him one answer can you help him out with anywhere cheaper.

Understood that, I was just pointing out that cheap isn't necessarily better. Stick with the Rayovac 394's and just eBay for the best price.

As my post above then rayovac silver oxide off eBay was the cheapest I could find. Yes they are the correct ones.

I know, I was just adding to your post to confirm what you said.

I'll just stick to posting pictures of bollocks on EU Poley threads, people understand that :)

I got a pack of 100 batteries off Ebay for a fiver.. I checked each one on my meter as I took the old ones out and put new ones in..On all 5 collars i had plenty of charge left to operate the collar at required levels..And they had been used for a long time.. Ferk paying top whack for a batterie with a top branded name on it...Obviuosly dont buy the ones in poundland..but there is a few links on ebay for batts that say deben ferrets collars on the links..I recon 100 for a fiver is better value than 10 for a tenner. . .Invest in an electrical test meter with the extra saved cash and check the voltage of your own batteries.. I will just replace my batteries in my collars a little bit more often just to be on the safe side..but at the price I pay..who cares.

as for the 9v that goes in the reciever...buy a good one and check that one regularly..cheap poundland batts are a deffo no no for reciever.
