tegater 789
I dont know whether this is cheap or not, but I just bought some from "wizard batteries" of ebay. 4 x Rayovac silver oxide £3.79 including p & p. The ones for the receiver you can pick up well known brands cheap anywhere. Hope this helps. Quote Link to post
Tug 168
They need to be the silver oxide ones, as these have a steadier discharge cycle (other batteries will give high initial output and then reduce, which means they won't power a transmitter). There's not much point chucking a ferret down under with a £65 collar round it's neck, only for the batteries to fail and you can't get it back if it falls off or the ferret lays up. A set of proper batteries will last 300 hours. Quote Link to post

darbo 4,776
have a good look on ebay. i get mine from arthur carter fieldsports. £8.95 per 10 for mk3m collars and £8.45 per 10 for mk3 collars cant remember how much the p&p is. Quote Link to post
Tug 168
Understood that, I was just pointing out that cheap isn't necessarily better. Stick with the Rayovac 394's and just eBay for the best price. Quote Link to post

Guest vin
I got a pack of 100 batteries off Ebay for a fiver.. I checked each one on my meter as I took the old ones out and put new ones in..On all 5 collars i had plenty of charge left to operate the collar at required levels..And they had been used for a long time.. Ferk paying top whack for a batterie with a top branded name on it...Obviuosly dont buy the ones in poundland..but there is a few links on ebay for batts that say deben ferrets collars on the links..I recon 100 for a fiver is better value than 10 for a tenner. . .Invest in an electrical test meter with the extra saved cash and check the voltage of your own batteries.. I will just replace my batteries in my collars a little bit more often just to be on the safe side..but at the price I pay..who cares. as for the 9v that goes in the reciever...buy a good one and check that one regularly..cheap poundland batts are a deffo no no for reciever. bobcullen79 1,495
Ebay, for the proper ones, £7 for 10 posted, which I thought was fair. They get cheaper the more you buy. Cant go wrong with the right ones, one less thing to wonder about should the collar stop working. Quote Link to post

saluki bulls 118
My mate lost my magnet for the mk3 do I need it or will any magnet do.? You can use the bottom of the locator mate to turn collars on and off. Have a look on locator and ul find a little circle then line that up with the circle on the collar and ur sorted. Turns it on and off. Quote Link to post
