Guest cookiemonsterandmerlin
Well number are growing in our area as the stubbles get turned in and reducing the stubbles which has helped build the numbers on remaining ones had a look at a bean stubble this morning early 730ish and the field was covred with hunger woodies. Returned later and not one but the wheat stubble next to it was heaving which I never know woodies to prefer wheat over a good bean feast . But the wheat was not my permo so a couple of door knocks secured permission and by the time this happened it was 133ohrs a shade late for shooting in late sept . But with birds still pulling in I set about a quick recce and decided on my setup place and was bang on the birds arrived on the deeks on placingmyself in hide with two the spout . I had a hectic but short 3 hours with some lovely left and rights and towards the end they started to flight high allowing for some testing birds . Final tally of 50 happy days Cookie 1 Quote Link to post
