slugbuster 4
Hi I'm quite new to the forum so this may have already been done. What are peoples reviews of the BSA ultra single shot. I have a few rifles and pistols I'm thinking about selling to buy an ultra as I like the looks but don't really know much about them. A RFd in the north is selling them @ £299 new with synthetic stock. Cheers Quote Link to post
villaman 9,983
Hi and welcome I would forget about single shot and go for a multi shot far better IMHO .I have a tactical m/s.177 regged and i can tell you this gun will be up there with the best of guns . secretagentmole 1,701
The cocking system is a Marmite type, this has been replaced by a single bolt on the Ultra SE. I had a single shot for 3 weeks last year, in .22. I had it zeroed and made the first kill in under 20 minutes. I just hated the cocking system so after 3 weeks it went back to the RFD we bought it from and the cash was invested in a Super 10 instead! Quote Link to post
midnight 657
i have the single shot tactical and love it iv had alot of guns including daystate airwolf etc and i genuinly like the gun . ok i hear you about the cocking system but its not that bad at all , i have a big mtc viper on mine . i had a 10 min walk in flip flops and shorts yesterday and got 3 rabbits no dramas . longest was over 40 yards standing shot . the only complaint would be shot count on them an that is now no longer an issue with regulators etc available. get one i bet you love it . slugbuster 4
What else is worth looking at around that price range. I have seen a brocock concept (I think) for similar money. Cheers for help so far Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Air Arms S200 with multishot adaptor, unlike the BSA there is no safety catch though. Damned good rifle though! Quote Link to post
