Recommended Posts

hi everyone ive recently got myself a saluki whippet greyhound after ive been looking now for about a month she lovely playful pup shes 11 weeks old. really couldnt of asked for a better dog. i would appreciate any tips or advice given. been on long walks morning and night. been feeding her wagg and lambs hearts and tripe sticks as an odd treat. ive been out quite a few times coursing in the day with friends never lamped.cant wait to start. i havent even named her yet any suggestions??post-67842-0-32045800-1348256020_thumb.jpg

nice pup,

nice quiet walks on her own with you when ready,

dont let her get into a position where the staff has to discipline her,

dont stimulate in the home the house then becomes a play area in the dogs mind,

dont listen to any shite about what anyone's else,s pup is doing ,

just develop trust dont discipline manage the pup til old enough to learn reason for its actions,

there is no such thing as teenage stage in a dogs development, its Drive kicking in, the pup has no control over its speed of response its been pulled in two different directions , towards you and away from you at the same time , thats when training should start . its also at this stage where seemly trained pups become anti social and fail to respond,

dont put the pup into positions it cant deal with,

the pup wont starve, we seem to be really bothered about what goes into its stomach rather than the effect we as owners are having on its mental state through discipline and controlling ,

you,ve got a lot of sighthound in that pup , just take it slow with her,

i would change the food mate, wagg is shite, and so is tripe. when you ask for your lambs hearts get some lamb breast as well. and some good quality mixer

the protein and fat contribution tripe provides is about half of the nutritional level of beef lamb and poultry
