first for 2013 . 3 offerings

first up hand forged (by me ) mosaic damascus .

pattern is "firestrom" made of 3 seperate bars of mosaic steel . the pattern in each bar is called explosion pattern , which is complex and very contempary amongs smith at the moment im told not many can do it !!? anyway weld the 3 tegeather and you get firestrm pattern , its a nob to make as the pattern is hidden in the core of the billet meaning you have to grind away well over 50% of the original billet to find the pattern . it has w1 and w2 steel in there for the dark element and nickel steel as the contrast . has a burl/curly birch handle with red and black fibre board spacers and buffalo horn guard . mosaic lanyard tube i made up and single 2mm bras slip pin so the tang will never come out . its flat ground with micro beval .

double stitched sheath with ample belt loop would fit over a cartradge belt .

the ugly bit £200 for this and no less and il tell you why , iv never clocked the time and materials that goes into this stuff before but when i did this year i almost fell over , there is 24 hours work on th project and alot of money spent on materials , so your getting a bargin as i need to charge £10 an hour or is not worth it .

so you pay for 4/5th of the time it took to make this meaning your getting all the materials for free and knife effectivly !!!!! seriously there wont be any more hand forged from me for less than this ever again im selling my self short and it has to end , sorry .

its a nice chunky knife with extra time spent on the erganomics of the handle meaning this will fit and be safe in the smallest or largest of hands and its been tested by over 10 people so far !

as you know damascus is a 3d effect so hard to picture but iv done my best , its a slightly deeper etch than normal so that if it ever discolours through use you can rub it with some 800grit paper with a suitable hard backing and the pattern will return bright as ever !!!

i love the last few damascus knives if finnished and they are what i wished to be able to craft when i began this knife making adventure a few years back , but thought i would never acheive . this will be on hold till coon boy has seen it has we have an agreement on this from last year , if he wants it , its his but if not it will be first come first serve .

 

next up to modifiednow sold "feildcrafters" im playing with designs to show it not just a bloody bushcraft knife , they can be made to suit almost any style or perpose , showing the diversity of the design and also because i wanted to play wih them see wha comes from it .

first one has miniature pine cones set in 2 tone acrilic resin (very atractive and tough) 4mm brass pins , flat ground and i have made the profile a little more slender as thats the way the raindeer herders have theres im told as a true hunting utility knife , its wicked sharp with the finest point iv ever done on a knife . i really like it and the handle shaping is quiet different to normal feildcrafter and suits well .

next up again modified feildcrafter with dagger grind !!!! the back edge is not sharp but can be on request . i made this one to look cool and to aid with animal dispatch as quiet a few of the feildcrafters have been used for this im told !! as im sure alot of you know the first few cuts when feild butchering a large animal carcase are upper cuts so if the back edge was sharpened you could use this as an all in one knife as you could also gut with it if you have the skill with a knife (slaughtermen and butcher dont use gut hooks ) its has a tapered tang to lighten the knife but remain very strong , and oak dymond wood handles which as you know are 90% indistructable .

all sheaths are hand made by me with english leather . and all postage to the uk will ne first class recorded but over seas will cost more .

here we go again .

this lot are protypes looking for new designs etc .

there priced to sell cos like you lot im broke and cant afford any materials till i sell something .

forst up .

im sad to say are seconds because if handle or pin issues .

thats th knives and sheaths as you can see there kydex , i dont have any para cord or they would have belt loops or neck hangers on them but thats an easy fix for you lads . big one which has burl wood £40 and the smaller one with corian £25 sold

now theugly bit

its just hair line cracking but is nothing more than ugly i dont imagineit will ever cause problems through use .

and as you can see i have simply placed the hole to close to the edge and it has ground into it , again i cant see it ever causing a problem through use .

above prices cover paypal fees and they will be sent first class recorded to you . nice usable knives that wont break the bank or you heart if they got lost . they are made of 2.5mm carbon pring steel cs 70 .

 

 

 

next is the dagger ground knife , iv given it a kydex sheath and put a live edge on its spine so it is now atrue dagger edge , its got a lower price of £60 as ther is nothing wrong with it , thats cost price really as the materials line up to about that , i just want to get it away and in the feild .#

perfect for deer dispact or a good fight down the pub ha ha

 

 

all the gutters are sold next up gutters x3 they all have stabilised american black ash burl handles . made from 2.5mm cs70 steel with kydex neck sheaths . £25 as there ready to go with no flaws .

the above two are ground for pelvis to rib cage cuts on gutting and hocking rabbits but im sure there usable for loads of other things to

the 3rd one is ground more traditionaly and has leather neck hanger sheath sold .

 

hope you like them and can find the funds if you do , im almost at stand still .
