new pup ill

Was over the moon to get my first lurcher pup on sat and was even happier how it was settling in, im now worried sick with the pup at the vets over night due to the worst diahorrea I've ever seen,don't know what the cause is and niether do the vets! Gutted

Praying for you pal atb u do know if he makes it hes names got to be lucky be the strongest pup going

Done the best thing taking it to the vets mate, just a matter of sitting and waiting for vets verdict now.

Hello mate, I have a 12 week saluki x greyhound and since I've hade her most foods seem to go straight thro her with clear mucus and a little blood in her poo, she has been to the vet as she dropped a bit of weight, the vet assured me there was nothing to worry about I've put her on skinners puppy field and trial and she eats well has put weight on and her poo is nearly back to normal, hope your pup is ok let us no.

alright pal,he was fine when we put him to bed but woke me up wanting to go out at 4 am, then again at 5, by 8 it was just water gushing out of him so I got him straight to the vet, just sitting waiting to here from the vet now

Longdogs sounds like your pup has campovacter not sure if spelt right. I had pup that had it got pup of guy in eng pup had it was a nightmare very hard to get rid off need stufff called septrin vet got me it from chemist. Its childrens antibotic for campovacter its form of E coli dogs get it off dirty water. Symtons diahoria like jelly form with bit blood in it. Loss weight go off food. They will always have it unless you get it sorted. Good luck.

Just spoke to the vet he's perked up a bit today but still very ill, said it could be parvo, I've got an american bull that was due his booster in April and didnt get it I know a lot on here say the boosters are a con, will he be covered??

Sorry to hear that diddnt think it waas parvo you know when you have that horrible disease ur lucky in a way get ur older dog boostered now. Kidney failure maybe pup got lepatosies {wells disease} get it from rats piss nothing as bad as a sick pup knocks heart outa you. Just prepare for. Worsst then anything else is good. Don't like sound of kidney failure.

yeah I haven't got high hopes for him now if im honest, been looking about for the right pup for months then this happens 4 days after getting him
