wedge2409 98
Not been out our posted for a while,so i went to a local permission not 5 min from my house. On arrival i went to the back of the house where there is a small garden with a few apple tree's,on other outings there has been 1-2 rabbits there, but on this occasion zero.I then started to walk the edge of the field, just about to turn the corner when i spotted a rabbit 10 mtr's away, unfortunately it saw me and made for cover scaring another one at the same time.I then crept to a hedge were i have had success in the post, peered round the corner and there was one sitting no more than 10 mtr's away, shot taken missed completely, forgot whether i should have applied hold over our under, took the shot with 2 mildots over.I thought i would have another look in the back garden before i went home, looked around the corner of the house and spotted this one sat out,he saw me but only moved a few feet before stopping to check what i was doing, big mistake bang on my 30 mtr zero, shot taken and one in the bag.ATB...Ste 1 Quote Link to post

stealthy1 3,964
Good shot, was it a buck? Why do you ask oh dark one? Just lately folk have been putting chewed ears down to harvesters, but its a well known fact that dominent bucks savage the ears on juniors, so just wondered if the bunny in the pic was a young buck, because if it is, then there is a senior buck with a flock of doe's near by Quote Link to post
