TommyTheTank 30
Shredded paper all the way! Dosent cost anything! Whats the point in paying for beddin when you can jst use shredded paper? I find they can get mites easily from straw but they dont live in shredded paper! 1 Quote Link to post
pukerk 161
I used waxed paper, it's pretty good besides blocking the drains every few months then I have to get Dyno Rod out to jet them which does my f*****g head in!!!! I've tried duvets etc in the past but they always seemed damp. The lads who use duvets, ok you dry your dog before you put them away like all decent dog lads would but what do you do when they are walking in and out from a wet run floor? Or have you trained them to wipe their feet? Lol Dont call dyno rod out.... buy yourself a set of steel drain rods, save yourself loads Quote Link to post
Runningdogs3 59
I tried duvets and I agree they are awful after a few wet paws have been over them. Nedz bedz medicated horse bedding is warm and really absorbent but gets a bit expensive and sticks to wet concrete if they drag it out on their feet (then clogs your drains when you hose it out!)Insulated floors and carpet seems to work best for me although the pups have polyester fur with old towels underneath as any wet seems to drain through and leave top layer dry.Although at 5 weeks they seem to have just about figured out that peeing in your bed isn't the best plan!
