Using straw but after being out tonight was wondering what you use as also not sure straw will be the best for the winter. also got a 4ft greenhouse heater to take the nip off. what heating do you use.

sorry but new to this game snd want to make sure dogs are fine in the cold nights.

charity shop blankets ...................................................

Old, or even new, duvet's are crap ! They hold moisture and the dogs tear them to shreds !! If your kennel is draught proof, water proof, and insulated enough, you should need nothing more than a rais

so does a towel lol

no heating and at the moment no bedding as the dogs drag it outside and dont use it , come winter time they'll be carpet and old clothes in there for them to lie on , but 9 times out of 10 they will drag it out and sleep on nothing,

think if you have a good draft free kennel they dont really need bedding but thats just my opinion

Chid what do you keep Alaskan Malamutes lol

Joking aside you cant expect your dogs to lie directly on a wooden bare bed ?

I use a bed with kingspan in the cavity.

Then carpet this out .

Then waxpaper bedding on top

During the winter sometimes straw.

If its cold they also get rugged up during the night.

why put stuff in there going to just pull out ??? they clearly dont want it in there,

they are in a kennel which is lined with 3/4 ply and they have a rubber mat down on the floor , winter i will put stuff in there but it still ends up outside ...
