Why not Buch? Coppers get shot, shot at, knives pulled on them, attacked physically and verbally, and threatened all the time.

I'm sorry mate but you are a skivvy for the polititians whatever line you sign, the last 10 years in the police have involved off the top of my head; Raoul Moat, Derek Bird, the solicitor who shot out the window at them with a shotgun, the ex sas guy in Cheltenham pulling a shotty, gangs of kids carrying knives all the time, raids on dealers homes, raids on arms dealers etc etc etc etc. I'm sure they wouldn't leave if they were told to raid a house where weapons are suspected to be in.

With regards to grenades you're right I think they do need priming.

How can you put the 2 together mate? Someone leaving here to a war zone and going to kill people to fight for there country and a police officer doing there job in Britain? I wont jump on this hate the police bandwagon, yes some of the shit they do is wrong but there just like you and me and now 2 of them are dead because of some c**t. And these soldiers that die....dont they get a funeral and driven through there streets when they are flown home.....lets not f*****g pretend they just get forgotten about!! R.I.P to anyone who loses there live defending or protecting the country.

I'm not jumping on any bandwagon mate, simply stating, and I believe I'm sticking up for the police here, that I acknowledge it's a dangerous job sometimes.

Soldiers expect it but at the end of the day if a police officer was told to do something they'd do it no matter how dangerous, because it's their job. It's a tragedy that 2 girls died, simple as that. Whether they were police or lollipop ladies shouldn't make a difference, life is as important to me no matter what your uniform.

I agree....some people dont on here and thats very sad mate.

That is right .... but its the Police who judge that in my eyes ... they for instance would go through the motions if it was your sister or mother and so would the courts , but 1 off there own there attitude changes which is wrong , no matter who it is the punishment/investigation should be the same but in reality its not .... i bet if 3 mths ago when he was lifted for murder and bailed had the murder off been against a Police officer he WOULD NOT OFF BEEN BAILED no matter what press release the Police Give today on his Bail conditions and thats what pisses me off ... every life should be as important as the next But Those In Power Dont See It Like That At Times .

2 woman get sent to a burglary in progress, yet I get seen out lamping in a subaru and 6 cars 2 vans a helicopter come out, even the main inspector jumped in his own car and came out to where they ha

2 young women in the prime of their lives were murdered.   It doesn't matter what they did for a job, they won't be doing it tomorrow, and that is sad.

Sorry mate counted 2+2 and got to 37 then .... I just hate the way that the bravest of our society get forgotten about for what they do and when one dies they are lucky to get a mention let alone days

The other thing to remember with cops, is that an armed cop probably signs up to do that job, because they want to, and they know full well they may have to face some fjcker with a gun/grenade, but I bet the average cop joins up to serve the community they live in.

This debate has happened before mate. There has to be a line drawn where if someone kills a member of the public they are dealt with accordingly. If someone kills a police officer the punishment 'has' to be worse or you would never get anyone joining the police force.

Its human nature to feel more pissed of if a collegue of yours gets killed rather than a random person too. If i worked in a factory and someone was killed i would feel that more than if someone got killed in McDonalds down the road....But in reality for the general public the death would just be the same.

I and its back fired on them this time because by the Bail given for 1st murder they have lost 2 collegues ... so if they treated every murder the same then maybe just maybe he wouldnt off been walking the streets yesterday , and in no way am i given the 2Girls no sympathy the complete opposite infact , 1 off them was from here (Isle Of Man) its the system that pisses me off and it needs looked at , including Judges who PRAISE Burgulars and Parole Boards who Release Lunatics To go back onto the streets time and time again .

Its not back-fired on them mate. We are talking about police officers as individuals not our legal system. We all know that is a f*****g joke.............

He wasn't on bail for murder as far as I understand, it was an unrelated offence.

They said on the news he was wanted for murder when he killed the two cops. It's mis information like that, that causes bollocks to be spread.

Do you think any of these police officers want murders out on bail mate? I dont think so!! Again you are talking about the legal system and not police officers going about there job. I death of a police officer must carry a harder sentence than a general member of the public or you will not get anyone signing up. The police know that 99% of the time they can go into situations without any backlash.....most people realise an assault or worse on a police officer is going to be dealt with very seriously. Now whether you or i think thats incorrect it has to be in place.

Time for an overhaul of the legal system........taking this c**t out the back and shooting him would soon start making scumbags like this think...............

HE WAS ON BAIL FOR A MURDER IN MAY .... ffs when talkin about bollocks being spread get your facts right as THIS IS HOW BOLLOCKS IS SPREAD ... They said through lack off evidence and time you can hold someone in custody they had too bail him for the murder off a lad shot in a pub ... though the Police Press release will be covering there own backs no doudt as too why he was bailed to kill 3 more people !

Then as has been said, that is a fault of the legal system, and not the police.

Did someone say the police operation has cost over 2 million so far on this case.

Remember what I said before in a previous thread about changing the prison system and sending the long term lifers and no hopers over to foriegn prisons instead of them costing us taxpayers a fortune in upkeep for a waste of human life.

FFS 2 million could fund a brand new prison build in some poor under-developed country and create an economy and jobs for people that may need it.

They all need the threat of hard time for such horrendous crimes.

i sat and watched my local nick lowering their flag to half mast yesterday. very sobering it was..........and then the wpc doing it went and pulled the rope too hard and snapped the top off the flagpole

And yes, of course the punishment needs to be seen to be greater for killing a cop otherwise we will disolve into anarchy. Anybody who cant see that is very very stupid.

So A Member off your Family is murdered in cold blood , and a policeman who lives down the road is also murdered in cold blood ... you wouldnt feel aggrieved if the person who killed your family member was eventually released but the Policemans killer was never released i.e. punished more severly ... thats a very stupid question cause i know your answer or should i say i think i know your answer . Sir Hugh Orde 1 off the top police officers has stated "anyone killing a police officer in cold blood should never see the light off day" ... this is what i cant grasp , Right At the Top Off Establishment Obviously Value A Life off a police officer more than a member off the general public , anyone killing anyone in cold blood should recieve a life sentence meaning life
