Dale Cregan nutter & police shot

Recommended Posts

Gnasher16, I have a major problem with your comments. Two young women have died purely for doing a job most people would not want to do. You may not like police but are they any less important than soldiers? A lot of people do not value the work our armed forces do. Perhaps we should be more concerned that we have got so used to losing young squaddies in Afgan that it barely registers with us any more. The fact remains that they all died in the service of our country.

Before you ask, yes, I am a copper, I also served in the army before that. I have spent the day since I heard this appalling news thanking my lucky stars that I'm able to put my kids to bed tonight. I won't be replying on this topic again as I don't wish to be drawn into a slanging match. I'd just ask that you think about what you post and the effect it might have on others.

2 woman get sent to a burglary in progress, yet I get seen out lamping in a subaru and 6 cars 2 vans a helicopter come out, even the main inspector jumped in his own car and came out to where they ha

2 young women in the prime of their lives were murdered.   It doesn't matter what they did for a job, they won't be doing it tomorrow, and that is sad.

Sorry mate counted 2+2 and got to 37 then .... I just hate the way that the bravest of our society get forgotten about for what they do and when one dies they are lucky to get a mention let alone days

Just googled it and it was a standard issue L109 grenade

Google squaddie sells grenades in stoke pub

It's now got this thread at the top of the google search lol

I agree with gnasher re the armed forces lads, all they get is there name, battalion/regiment, next of kin informed. 20 seconds of air time maximum

I'm with you gnash, truck drivers get killed doing there job but hey ho. And I don't mean to disrespect anyone but a frequent phrase amongst police when they use force is "We couldn't take the chance", well if that's the case then you must be under no illusions when you sign on the line as to what you might face.

2 average women in the street mean just as much as 2 coppers, McDonalds staff, or anyone else to me.

Just a shame they were lured into an ambush the way they were. RIP

Make your mind up PJ, first you say:

What I mean is you accept the risk as a copper, but that doesn't take away from the fact that he was a Cnut and they had no way of avoiding what happened. As I said, I couldn't care what their profession was, it's just a shame that he decided to do what he did and 2 young women are dead. Their job doesn't mean anything, their life does

From the grenade in the pub story:

A military source said: "Nobody can understand how the hell a grenade could have gone missing. Heads will roll."

Oh dear.

Bulls**t, unless they can find a batch/serial number on something and even then it gets narrowed to a minimum of about 30 blokes!

I don't know, but I'd imagine it to be pretty hard to tax British army ordnance.from what I gather every round is accountable. Often see the yanks on jewtube firing off stingers and grenades for a laugh, but never British army. I would think that would get you kicked out on your arse.

It is fairly hard scot but it happens all the time. Lads have sold 9mm rounds in the past as they're quite hard to get hold of in the uk, a mate was arrested with 20 rounds of 5.56, I've found rounds after exercise in pockets etc.

Let's just say that it probably wasn't a private who had access to it, so it goes to show there are arseholes in all walks of life lol
