Well, i hate to tell you, it happens all of the time, and not every where has a rabbit problem, and not every farmer wants them all gone. Hecne, there really are some farmers who really dont give two shits if you stuck a few rabbits down on their land. A few hundred acres of sheep or dairy farm isnt going to suddenly implode if you drop a few coneys. It's also no where near the most illegal or stupidest thing posted on here on a daily basis, so chill the feck out. Also, the idea of breeding a lop eared bunny into the wild gene pool to increase numbers is dumb, as the higher number of offspring will be cancelled out by the lack of adaptation for survival, i.e body shape, solor, size, speed etc. More will be born, but also more will die. And . . . . black rabbits are usually nothing to do with pet enything, they are a naturally occuring mutation of the agouti gene, which usually occurs where there is a high, stable and healthy population. My old man ripped it out the wall on one of they rages, had to pay a bill to get it fixed. Mind you they were a hundred plus suppose that's a hefty amount back in the day. Had that happen... Young & in Love ,,girls Family ,from The Isles "outer hebrides"..got shipped out in the Summer.Lovelorn she would phone from a Phone box up the village,get me to reverse the charges ..wasn't Daft 2 weeks got found out ...good kicking !and no more Phone.spent the half of the summer Heartbroken then the other half Wondering if some one else was Dancing with her .Eventually some one DID !!!
